At its recent conference, the Green Party passed bad policy to condemn and boycott Israel. Critical letters and articles followed. Here's another from 'Weggis', who says:

"As I said to another, “Don’t blame me I wasn’t there. Well, alright, you can blame me for not being there.” And therein lies the crux of the problem.

All political parties are effectively run by a hard core of those who are most active. The Green Party aspires to be truly democratic. Perhaps we need to think a little more about how the Party involves all its members in such decisions? But of course the vested interests of those activists [and the “left”] are at stake."
